In this completed session, students received a clear and practical overview of Tonsillitis. The presentation focused on distinguishing viral vs. bacterial causes, understanding Group A Streptococcus (GAS), recognizing red-flag symptoms, and knowing when antibiotic therapy is truly necessary.

Students joined the session through the WhatsApp group and participated in an interactive discussion on diagnosis, testing, and management strategies.
What Students Learned:
• The most common cause of acute tonsillitis is viral, not bacterial.
• Key clinical clues that suggest GAS tonsillopharyngitis and when to use the Modified Centor Score.
• When throat culture or rapid antigen testing is indicated and why throat culture remains the gold standard.
• Principles of responsible antibiotic use and why routine antibiotics are not recommended for viral infections.
• Safe analgesic choices for children and important contraindications such as avoiding aspirin due to Reye syndrome risk.
• When corticosteroids may be considered and when they should be avoided.

Kahoot Quiz Session
After the presentation, students joined a 15-question Kahoot quiz designed to reinforce key concepts. Participation was through QR code or PIN entry, and scoring rewarded both speed and accuracy.
